Wirattana Suriya-ek
Director of FinanceWirattana began his career in the Hospitality Industry in 1986, after completing his studies at St. Johns Vocational College and University and started by working as a rank and file employee at The Oriental Hotel, Bangkok. With his enthusiasm to pursue a career in the hotel industry, Wirattana joined the Accounting Department at the Shangri-la Hotel Bangkok and performed a number of different jobs until his last position as Credit Manager in 1998. Later, Wirattana successfully implemented Accounting Systems in several companies in the service industry, such as Turismo Thai Co., Ltd. A major travel agent in Thailand and Avis Rent A Car, Thailand, over a period of approximately ten years, recently returning to the hotel industry three years ago in various senior management and financial controller positions at Fraser Suites, (Service Apartment), Eclipse Management (Restaurant Management Company), the Emerald Hotel, Bangkok (625- Room Five-Star Hotel managed by HOTELCORP) and the Bandara Group (Hotel & Resort Management Company).
Wirattana was recently appointed as Corporate Director of Finance at HOTELCORP in October, 2008, responsible for the establishment and implementation of accounting systems in HOTELCORP and all operating properties under HOTELCORP management, including Vietnam.
